Leadership Profile
Pastoral Associate, Mary Lou McGee, leads the Adult Faith Formation ministry.
A former Adult Education/Faith Formation Consultant for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, Mary Lou
is a graduate of the University of San Francisco, Institute of Catholic Educational Leadership. She
has ministered as a Catholic school principal and junior high teacher as well as a Religious
Education catechist. She serves with an Adult Faith Formation Team.
Volunteer Time Commitment
The Adult Faith Formation Team is composed of five members who meet 3-4 times/year to discuss
and plan adult faith formation experiences. During Lent 2008, this team put together 8 faith sharing
groups which met in homes. For Lent 2009, the team formed 7 faith sharing groups in private
homes. Generally these groups meet for 1 ½ hours every week of Lent in host homes. Formation
Team members serve as facilitators of these groups.
Qualifications
Team members must possess a commitment to the ongoing formation of adults in faith. Facilitators
must complete training to lead a faith sharing group. This training is provided by the parish.
Current Participation
Presently 10-15 people participate in adult faith formation leadership. We are always open to new
ideas, new hands and hearts joining us. There's a place waiting for you!
