Feed the Homeless/SOS

Our Lady of Malibu participates in feeding those in transition under the coordination of a local charitable organization, Standing on Stone (SOS), that provides spiritual guidance and intellectual discovery to those in need. Along with our sister churches and synagogue in Malibu, we each take turns once a month to prepare meals and serve all those who come. OLM participants meet first in Sheridan Hall to gather our foodstuffs and serving implements, and then proceed across the street to Webster School, where SOS holds its prayerful gathering. OLM Parish is responsible for the purchase and preparation of dinner for the first Thursday of each month. Students are welcome to participate with bringing meals, set-up, serving, & clean-up. For Those With So Little

In these difficult economic times, the SOS Ministry is also collecting non-perishable food items (i.e., cereal, canned soups, veggies and fruit) to stock the SOS pantry shelves, blankets and clothes. Donations may be dropped off at the Rectory or brought on the first Thursdays of the Month to Webster School.
